Sunday's Beef Bolognese


Yield: 8 Servings

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 2 carrots, diced
  • 2 celery stalks, diced
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 cans crushed tomatoes (28 oz)
  • 1 can tomato sauce (15 oz)
  • 2 tbsp tomato paste
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • 1 tsp basil
  • 1 tsp oregano
  • ½ tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 lb fettuccine or penne pasta
  • Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil.
  2. Cook onions, carrots, and celery.
  3. Add garlic and beef.
  4. Brown beef completely.
  5. Add tomatoes, sauce, and paste.
  6. Add seasonings.
  7. Simmer 1-2 hours.
  8. Serve over pasta.
  9. Top with Parmesan cheese.
