Sunday's Beef Bolognese
Yield: 8 Servings
Ingredients
- 2 lbs ground beef
- 1 large onion, diced
- 2 carrots, diced
- 2 celery stalks, diced
- 5 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cans crushed tomatoes (28 oz)
- 1 can tomato sauce (15 oz)
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1 tsp basil
- 1 tsp oregano
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 lb fettuccine or penne pasta
- Parmesan cheese
Instructions
- Heat olive oil.
- Cook onions, carrots, and celery.
- Add garlic and beef.
- Brown beef completely.
- Add tomatoes, sauce, and paste.
- Add seasonings.
- Simmer 1-2 hours.
- Serve over pasta.
- Top with Parmesan cheese.
